Parkway Drive have hit us with an update on their next album, confirming that the follow-up to 2015’s Ire is about 70% done.
Speaking with MoreCore.TV, the Byron metal titans said they’d be back in the studio very soon to finish up the recording sesh.
As for the sound of their next record, one key word that frontman Winston McCall used to explain it was “refinement”.
“It’s a bit of everything. It’s everything… I think the best way to describe it [is] refinement,” the screamer said (via Alt Press). “I think ideas that we’ve had in the past that are new, we’ve gone even further with new ideas, but things that we’ve always loved about the band we’ve just made sharper and more aggressive and have more impact and more statement to them.
“So, we’re not leaving things behind, but we’re definitely not staying in the same place.”
Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to hear it.
