In the lead-up to Passion Pit’s new record Gossamer the eletro five-piece have unveiled the record’s cover art and tracklisting.
The cover art is pictured above and follows on from the artwork for lead single Take A Walk.
As Music Feeds perviously reported, Passion Pit vocalist Michael Angelakos said of the new record:
“On Gossamer there is more of a dichotomy between the lyrics and the music. You hear my lyrics more precisely, which is something I was ready for. The lyrics on this album have a lot to say about what the last two years of my life have been troubled with.”
Speaking with NME, Angelakos added…
“(It’s) gonna be a really fantastic, exciting, beautiful, gorgeous record. An absolutely beautiful record. I’m so excited… We’re aligning it with the Farmers’ Almanac in America, so when the buds start to bloom is when we kind of wanna release it. Like when life starts to come back. We wanna be pretty literal.”
Gossamer is due out July 24, 2012.
