Paul Dempsey Announces Tour, Shares New Song ‘Morningless’

Something For Kate frontman Paul Dempsey has unveiled new tour dates in support of Morningless, a new solo single from his upcoming second solo album, which is slated for release later this year.

Morningless, like the rest of Dempsey’s latest solo work, is produced by Tom Schick (who has worked with the likes of Wilco and Ryan Adams), and sees Dempsey in top-rockin’ form.

“There’s a desperation in this song that stems from the feeling of being far away from someone and urgently racing to get back to them, almost in defiance of the motion of the planet and the passing of day and night,” Dempsey says.

With Morningless and its Mad Men-esque music video (below) now out in the wild, Dempsey has locked in three new east coast tour dates where he’ll introduce fans to his new material at intimate venues in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, beginning on 19th February.

On his new live dates, Dempsey will be backed by a new live band featuring musos Pat Bourke, Olympia, Shannon Vanderwertt and Adrian Stoyles. The shows will feature support sets from Melbourne singer-songwriter Fraser A. Gorman.
