Paul McCartney Helps Aussie Bloke Propose To His GF At Perth Show

Paul McCartney has helped prove that All You Need Is Love, by helping an Aussie bloke propose to his girlfriend on stage at a show in Perth on Saturday night.

Footage has emerged (below) of Macca inviting young couple Martin and Saya on stage after spotting them in the crowd, so that Martin could pop the question in front of the 20,000-strong audience.

“I fell in love with you 10 years ago when we met in England on a Contiki tour… and I thought at the end of the tour, ‘She listens to a lot of The Beatles,'” Martin told the crowd, before Macca instructed him to kneel in front of Saya.

“I know now that I have the world’s biggest Beatles fan, and it would do me an honour, Saya, if you would take my hand in marriage. Will you marry me?”

Saya said yes, and the crowd cheered as Macca signed her Beatles jacket and ‘Mull Of Kintyre’ started to play.

Macca’s Perth show was his first Australian concert since 1993, and Music Feeds reviewer Shane Pinnegar called the show “truly an unforgettable night”.

McCartney will continue his current Australian tour with a show in Melbourne on Tuesday night, before hitting Brisbane and Sydney.
