Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts and Music Festival is urging musicians from all corners of the country to apply for the opportunity to perform at this year’s festival held over New Year from Saturday, December 29, 2012 to Tuesday, January 1, 2013. To apply, simply click on Peats Ridge 2012 submission form and enter you info; be sure to include a copy of your latest tunes when completing ‘music submissions’.
Applications close on Thursday 2 August 2012.
Last year’s Peats Ridge Festival lineup included Husky, Hermitude, Xavier Rudd and Gotye, with over 10,000 festival goers and an additional 200,000 watching live via YouTube.
Festival Director Matt Grant said the live streams attracted massive hits and exposed bands playing at the festival to a wide new audience.
“We’ve now clocked up nearly 700, 000 views on YouTube in only 6 months since the Festival. It means a lot that we can offer this extra amount of exposure to our bands”, Grant said.
“Since playing at the Festival last year, The Holidays have received over 84,000 views of their performance on our YouTube channel. You’d have to fill a big stadium to get those sorts of audiences normally”, he said.
Last year over 1,000 applications were entered with the hopes of performing at the esteemed festival. An even greater influx is expected this year. If you’ve always wanted to play your music on a national level, then be sure to get your application in asap!
