Pigeon Announce Tour Dates In Support Of ‘Fortunes’ EP

After the success of their two previously released singles, the lads from Pigeon can hardly contain their excitement as they prepare their sophomore EP Fortunes for release. So excited are they in fact, that they plan on bringing the new material straight to you.

Keeping it all in the family, the EP was self-produced by Danny Harley and Nick Kirk at their very own Acolyte Studios in Brissy. Picking up where the critically acclaimed 2011 debut effort Parallels left off, Fortunes, in the words of the band themselves, is “more mature than [Parallels], but still has the same features that originally set Pigeon apart from other bands – willingness to genre hop and experiment with different ideas – [with] a more focused core centering around electro-pop.”

You’d be hard pressed to find a band who’s been putting in the hard yards quite like Pigeon have been. Pick a festival and chances are they’ve played it. Already ticked off, you’ve got Splendour in the Grass, Festival of the Sun, Parklife, Peats Ridge Festival, and Fat As Butter – not to mention their support gigs. You might recognise the name from tours such as Van She‘s Idea of Happiness Tour as well as Tijuana Cartel‘s last run of shows.

The lads also found time in their hectic schedule to set a bunch of headlining dates in support of their now-released single Oh Hebe. To continue listing their feats would blow my word limit massively, but to sum it all up – practice makes perfect, and these cats have been doing a whole lotta practice recently.

Check out the dates below, and come October 24th, prepare to get your hands on a copy of Fortunes.
