Placebo Drop The Quirky Video For ‘Too Many Friends’ Featuring Bret Easton Ellis

British alt rock trio Placebo have unleashed their quirky new video for Too Many Friends, the first single from their forthcoming seventh studio album, Loud Like Love, featuring American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis.

The quirky six-and-a-half minute clip is a whodunnit of sorts, with viewers asked to solve a mystery, complete with narration from Ellis. It’s what would happen if Cluedo took place in a Los Angeles mansion and Miss Scarlet and Colonel Mustard were on drugs, set against Brian Molko‘s trademark vocals and distinctive riffs.

Placebo’s Loud Like Love is set for release on 16th September, with more deluxe editions than you can shake a candlestick at. There’s the 3D lenticular super deluxe box set, a limited edition deluxe digi-pack version, a double 12″ coloured vinyl gatefold edition, as well as the standard CD and digital release. The outfit will then be heading out on a world tour, with Aussie dates to be announced very soon.
