Placebo Hoping To Reschedule Perth Show Following Last-Minute Cancellation

UPDATE: Placebo Won’t Be Rescheduling Their Cancelled Perth Show

ORIGINAL STORY: Placebo are hoping to reschedule their concert at Perth Arena, which was cancelled at the last minute on Monday night.

Music Feeds has been told that the tour’s promoters, TEG Live, are hoping to reschedule the show for a new date at the end of Placebo’s current Australian tour, which still has shows scheduled in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Newcastle and Canberra.

Placebo’s Perth show was cancelled due to an undisclosed illness suffered by frontman Brian Molko. The band are yet to release any statement or further information about his health, but ticket-holders for the Perth show have been told to hold onto their tickets.

Meanwhile, venues scheduled to host some of Placebo’s upcoming Australian shows have continued to promote the concerts on social media since Monday’s cancellation in Perth.

The band are due to play in Adelaide tonight, and Adelaide Entertainment Centre has confirmed the show is still set to go ahead at the time of writing.

Music Feeds has contacted TEG Live for further comment.
