UPDATE 04/11/16: Pnau have released a new single called Chameleon.
ORIGINAL STORY: Just last week it was revealed that PNAU were going to release a new single called Chameleon and now it looks like the wheels for their return are finally being put in motion.
The duo of Nick Littlemore and Peter Mayes, have updated their Facebook page with images emblazoned with the date 04.11.16.
Now, we’re not detectives or anything but that’s this Friday and Fridays are the universal release day for new music. It’s unconfirmed whether or not the date will lead to the release of new music but it’s looking pretty good.
“PNAU have a new single coming out soon called Chameleon which kind of carries on the bonkers nature of us,” Littlemore told the interns, in an interview about Empire Of The Sun’s new record.
Littlemore has been an extremely busy man working on both Empire and PNAU. Empire released their third album Two Vines just last Friday and Littlemore is wasting no time moving onto his other project.
PNAU’s last record was an Elton John remix record released back in 2012 so it’s been a long time in between drinks.
We’ll have to see what happens come Friday.
