Dance favourites The Potbelleez are riding the wave of success from their latest release Destination Now all the way to The Beresford Hotel. Recently supporting Usher on his ridiculously successful OMG tour, they’ve also just completed their own sold out tour and casually performed in Ibiza in August for MTV UK alongside Snoop Dogg, Mark Ronson and Robyn.
In between what seems like an infinitely packed festival schedule, The Potbelleez have made time to visit the beautiful Beresford Upstairs venue, where their house bangers, big beats and trance vibes will go down a treat.
Their live shows are pretty legendary and their anthemic tunes mix indie dance with house production that is sure the activate the dancefloor and send many a punter out down Oxford Street for a pumped up night on the town.
With the potent personalities of vocalists Blue MC and Ilan Kidron cranking up the party atmosphere, The Potbelleez are joined by electro-pop comrades Radio Ink, who formed in a Sydney nightclub and released their debut EP in August. With a strongly 90s, euro-dance vibe, they’ve recently toured with Neon Trees. Fronted by Miss S, the angelic-voiced blonde siren, their synth-powered pop dance has won them prizes, taken them with the armed forces to Afghanistan, thrown them all over the radio and sees them regularly perform at Sydney’s premier boutique venues such as Lady Lux, Piano Room, Ivy Pool, The Club, Favela, Kit & Kaboodle, The Argyle, The Golden Sheaf, The Greenwood and Trademark.
Radio Ink and The Potbelleez are a potent dancefloor ignition and will set the Beresford Upstairs on fire this Saturday night. $25, 7.30pm.
