PREMIERE: Busby Marou’s New Video For ‘Get You Out Of Here’

Written by Greg Moskovitch on October 4, 2013

To celebrate the release of their new album, Farewell Fitzroy, songsmithing duo Busby Marou have made a sun-kissed new video for latest single, Get You Out Of Here, and you can catch it first on Music Feeds!

The charming vocal interplay and natural, soaring yet folky feel of the pair’s songcraft is certainly present on their latest single and the bright new video, shot on location in Brisbane and at the recent BIGSOUND conference, comes just in time for summer.

The clip was produced by multimedia production house The Grindhouse, who’ve worked with such esteemed names as Matt Corby, The Rubens, and FIDLAR.

Speaking about the new album, singer Tom Busby says:

“To me the title means moving on, improving and growing as a person, and musicians. We have other experiences to write about now. If there’s a theme to this album it’s talking about leaving your home – but still being in touch with it.”

Busby and partner Jeremy Marou entered the Nashville studios of US producer Brad Jones (Missy Higgins, Josh Rouse, Justin Townes Earle) in April of this year. Going in, the pair sought to encapsulate the previous year’s travels and their new full-band sound.

“Brad was very good at recording our vocals,” said Jeremy. “All the feedback we received from our first album was about how good Tom and I sounded together when it’s just us and a guitar, and it felt like we’d never really got that properly before. Brad’s done a fair job of capturing that on this album.”

Farewell Fitzroy is out today. Check out the clip for Get You Out Of Here below.
