PREMIERE: Mrs Bishop Drop New Single & Video ‘The Way You Love’

Written by Nastassia Baroni on December 10, 2013

Nordic brotherly indie-dream duo Mrs Bishop have today dropped their elegantly crafted new single The Way You Love, complete with a lavishly charming video which you can only catch on Music Feeds!

The Way You Love follows on from last year’s well received Broken Wing, eschewing the latter’s deftly delicate programming in favour of carefully plucked strings and keys while still layering on the gently soaring vocals. The video, which you can check out below, was put together by Sydney director Tom McKeith.

Written and recorded while the brothers were based on opposite sides of the world in Sydney and Stockholm, the track was produced by Pluto Jonze, and features our favourite classically trained DJ Alison Wonderland on cello.

Brothers Oscar and Hugo Bishop have been floating, so ethereally, around the Sydney scene for a while now and have garnered a reputation for having some of the most blissful and sweet vocal harmonies around, drawing comparisons to Bon Iver and Jònsi. The sweetness, it seems, is intrinsic – these are the guys who named their band after their mum, after all. Aww!

The Way You Love is now available as a free download on the band’s SoundCloud. Check out the clip below.
