Sydney dream-pop purveyors I Know Leopard have returned with their second single Hold This Tight, and readers can catch the song’s music video premiere right here on Music Feeds.
The track is a cut from the band’s forthcoming debut EP Illumina, due out later this year. It was written as a tribute to the friendships and the strong creative ties which the five-piece have developed in Sydney since leaving their hometown of Adelaide.
Strapping a camera to their friend’s brand-new quadcopter, I Know Leopard filmed the music video for Hold This Tight at sunrise in the tranquil waters of Parsley Bay, Sydney. The clip gives the impression of isolation, mirroring the theme running through the song and the daunting experience of moving from Adelaide to Sydney.
The song itself was recorded at Sydney’s iconic REC Studios with young producer Craig Willson (Flume, New Navy, The Church). It picks up where the band’s debut single She left off, with its melancholic pop aesthetic and sparkling production.
