PREMIERE: Yasumo Unveil Video For New Single ‘I’m Missing You’

Written by Greg Moskovitch on October 16, 2013

Melbourne-based DJ/production duo Yanni Nair and Simon Salerno, who go by the moniker Yasumo, have unveiled the music video for their latest, obscenely catchy single I’m Missing You. Out on Fall Street Records, the new single continues the duo’s theme of disco meets nightclub.

Nair and Salerno have made a name for themselves in the Melbourne dance scene by simply putting their own spin on the music they love. Their string of melodic, creative, and bass-heavy singles on labels such as Fall Street Records and Onelove are a good sign of exactly what that is.

The pair trade in a forward-thinking brand of EDM that combines elements of classic Philly Soul disco, the unmistakable euphoria of ’90s French house and the bouncy, ambulant rhythms of ’70s funk, all fused together with a contemporary EDM sheen.

The pair have remixed for dance floor pioneer Arthur Baker (Afrika Bambaataa, Planet Patrol, New Order) and have received accolades from names such as Fool’s Gold‘s own Nick Catchdubs. With new single I’m Missing You, Yasumo’s star is set to rise even further.
