Prince And 3rd Eye Girl Release Music Video For New Single ‘Fixurlifeup’

Written by Marc Zanotti on May 24, 2013

Prince and his new all-girl band 3rd Eye Girl have released the music video for their new single Fixurlifeup. Sanaa Hamri, who has worked previously with Prince on his 2004 tune Musicology, directed the clip.

The clip plays as part lyric video, part concert with the live footage taken from Prince and 3rd Eye Girl’s recent gig in San Diego during the band’s Live Out Loud American tour, which saw Prince and the band play 2 shows per night.

Fixurlifeup should appear on the debut album by Prince and 3rd Eye Girl, which reportedly has the working title of Plectrum Electrum. There’s no official word on when fans can expect the record.

It’s been full steam ahead for Prince and his new band since the release of Fixurlifeup. Prince was honoured with the Icon Award at this year’s Billboard Music Awards, and shortly thereafter Kobalt Music Group announced they had signed a new record deal with The Purple One.
