Puddle Of Mud Vocalist Facing Jail Time Following ‘Drunkenly Combative’ Behaviour

Written by Mike Hohnen on September 5, 2012

Puddle of Mud was always that band that was kind of Nickleback, kind of Creed. And it looks as though frontman Wes Scantlin knows it, and is on a mission to drink that out of his mind. Well, that’s just my theory after the vocalist was kicked off a plane and arrested for public intoxication.

According to The Daily Telegraph, the recently embattled musician broke out in a drunken tantrum after flight attendants on an LA bound flight from Texas cut him off from the bar. Now, that happens to the best of us, but rather than sitting quietly and re-assessing his life like we would, he became ‘drunkenly combative’ leaving the crew with no option but to turn the plane around for an emergency landing in Austin, where Scantlin was ejected and promptly arrested.

He was later charged with public intoxication, and it is currently being decided whether or not Wes will be facing federal charges for interfering with a flight crew. This is bad, bad news for Scantlin, who is not even halfway through an 18-month good behaviour bond after being busted with coke.

Should the prosecution follow through with these charges, Scantlin could face jail time for the offenses. Well, Wes, if ‘she’ didn’t fucking hate you before, ‘she’ probably does now. Yeah…think about it.
