Punk Band Get Shot! Shoot Porn In Westboro Baptist Church’s Front Yard

Written by Mike Hohnen on October 4, 2013

Punk outfit Get Shot! is most likely a band you’ve never heard of, but they’re determined to change that fact – the band has resorted to extreme, illegal but over all awesome tactics to penetrate the zeitgeist by filming a porno on the front lawn of the Westboro Baptist Church‘s HQ.

And there’s footage to prove it. Very NSFW footage.

The act was carried out in broad daylight and, to put it subtly, you see everything. Bassist Laura Lush was the one brave enough to carry out the act, unclothed for the world to see, before lying back in the grass before rubbing one in.

In an effort to make sure as many people heard about them and their video as possible, the band issued an official press release with the following quote from Lush:

The Phelps family and Westboro Baptist Church are ridiculous and do nothing except spread hate and cause controversy. As a bisexual woman and the bass player of a ridiculous punk band, I wanted to spread my legs and cause controversy.”

Class. Mainman J.P. Hunter elaborated on the troublesome shoot:

“There was a lot of traffic and we saw a few cops at a coffee shop a few blocks away. We [barely] had enough gas money and cocaine to make it to Denver for our next concert.”

After wrapping the clip, the band then opened up a dialogue with church leader Fred Phelps on Twitter – at least, that’s what it looked like. Rather, they ended up exchanging tweets with a Twitter parody account. Some of those wonderful comments below.

As you will find out within seconds of visiting the band’s highly NSFW 18+ website, where you can watch the video, Get Shot! are apparently on a mission to become the first punk band to launch their own porn site – a strong indicator that one of the many things at which they suck is music.

That said, they’ve clearly cracked open a massively neglected niche, as said website was unable to cope with the pressure once word got out and spent much of today out of action.

For anyone who’s actually interested in their music, Get Shot! will apparently be releasing a new album shortly.
