Sydney experimental-electronic-rock trio PVT (formerly Pivot) have released a new track titled Shiver ahead of their upcoming fourth album, and follow-up to 2010’s Church With No Magic. No release date or title has been revealed for the new album yet, but it appears that it will be released through the band’s own Felte label.
Having recently played at the Sydney Opera House on the recent Vivid LIVE 2012 lineup, as well as a one-off show in Melbourne, the band will also head out on an impressive run of dates across North America, Europe and Australia, supporting the likes of Menomena, Bloc Party and Gotye.
PVT rose to acclaim upon the release of their debut Make Me Love You and the signature track Montecore. Since then, the band have evolved their hybrid of largely instrumental electronica and rock to dabble with vocals across their last 2 albums. This new track continues the trend, making extensive use of Richard Pike’s vocals alongside a subtle electronic groove (and accompanied by a video of a naked woman cavorting in a see-through raincoat in slow motion).
