Written by Emmy Mack on June 7, 2016

Queensland is the lucky beneficiary of a brand new music festival with a lineup your dad will froth over.

Hoodoo Gurus headline the inaugural bill of Sandstone Rocks, a new rockfest set to hit Bribie Island’s Sandstone Point Hotel, just north of Brisbane, on Saturday 10th September.

The debut event will also see fellow Aussie rock royals Jon Stevens (Noiseworks), Baby Animals and The Black Sorrows hit the breathtaking waterfront stage, alongside more acts TBA.

“We are massive supporters of the Australian Music Industry and are very excited to be hosting artists of this calibre,” Sandstone Point Hotel Director Robert Comiskey said in a statement.

“Sandstone Rocks will be an annual event which will headline only the biggest and best acts for Queensland to enjoy.”

Sandstone Rocks overlooks the picturesque Bribie Island and is pencilled in for a leisurely 2pm start.

Tickets go on sale next Monday, 13th June.
