Radiohead will not record a sequel to King Of Limbs

In news that is sure to leave more than a few fans hanging their heads in disappointment and malaise, Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien has stated that while there is material that didn’t make it on the band’s latest album The King Of Limbs, they weren’t planning a follow up release.

“There are [other] songs that we have started, that we never finished, but there’s not like seven or eight finished songs waiting in the wings to be released now, or in the autumn, or something… When we start a new record, we tend to start afresh. It’s kind of an evolutionary thing – only the fittest survive.”

The rumour began, as they often do, after some conspiracy minded enthusiasts interpreted the lyrics from King Of Limbs closer Separator “And if you think this is over/Then you’re wrong” as a message from the band that the song would serve as a separator between two releases. Considering how short the album is it’s understandable people want more, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a while yet.
