Brisbane’s Red Deer Festival will return again in 2012, this time headed by classic Aussie indie-electronic-rock band Regurgitator and Melbourne folk songstress Claire Bowditch. Back in its third year, this independent, community-driven festival promises to give local bands and music lovers a fresh and honest event.
Joining the lineup will be a number of local and young musical talents. Supporting the unsigned musicians of the South East Queensland region is part of the festival’s stance, and there will always be spots on the lineup to be filled by these bands.
Red Deer also offers vibrant cultural performances, gourmet food, and market stalls. BYO alcohol is allowed, to save you from those long lineup queues you find at most festivals.
