Ricky Gervais Gets Back To ‘The Office’ In ‘Learn Guitar With David Brent’

Written by Sarah Bella on May 15, 2013

Ah, David Brent. You’ll never have another boss like him, fact. Ricky Gervais‘ chilled-out entertainer from The Office is back, starring in a series of mock tutorials (mocktorials?) aptly named Learn Guitar With David Brent.

In the just-released teaser trailer, Brent tells us he’s not going to be the one to teach us guitar, we’re going to be the ones to teach us guitar. Deep. The best boss ever then tells us about his new career “repping” and even treats us to a song about it on his acoustic guitar, with all of the same trademark cringe-worthy humour of the original series.

Learn Guitar With David Brent is launching 20th May as part of YouTube’s Comedy Week. David Brent resurfaced for the first time in a decade back in March for the UK’s Comic Relief telethon in a 10-minute special called The Office Revisited, in which the general manager of Wernham Hogg Slough performed a rap number called Equality Street.

We’re hoping that Gervais invites his new BFF Justin Timberlake to get involved with the web series – lord knows JT ain’t no stranger to comedy. Perhaps they could perform Dick In A Box together.
