Ricky Martin On Joel Madden Drug Bust: “It Must Be One Of The Hardest Moments Of His Life”

Ricky Martin is the latest to jump into Joel Madden‘s drug-bust scandal, saying that the incident in which the Good Charlotte frontman was sprung with pot and kicked out of his hotel room “must be one of the hardest moments of his life”.

If being asked to leave a hotel for possessing less than 5 grams of weed is the hardest thing that ever happens to Madden, we’d say dude is pretty fortunate, but Martin clearly disagrees. The Livin’ La Vida Loca singer and fellow judge on The Voice Australia spoke to Melbourne radio station The Fox, saying he wishes Joel nothing but “love and light”:

“He already sent a release, apologizing, it must be one of the hardest moments of his life to be honest, I don’t doubt it, and that’s all I’m going to say about this at this point. You just have to remember that they’ve become like brothers to me.”

Meanwhile, Seal has backpedalled on yesterday’s attack of the cray cray, apologising for his multi-tweet rant in which he said he “couldn’t wait to go home”.

“I want to apologise for my rant earlier. Joel is one of my best friends and I was really hurting for him. I want to say I have loved being in Australia, I’ve loved working on ‘The Voice’ and with an incredibly talented group of Australian artists.”

What with The Voice finale airing next week and all, we’re giving it approximately 24-48 hours until Delta Goodrem weighs in on all this.
