Royal Chant paces the halls

Written by John Ritchie on August 20, 2010

Royal Chant continues along it’s stubborn path of irrationality as they await the release of their debut LP of garage couplets. They are also adamant in their refusal to base themselves out of any city with a recognisable or relevant postcode. Having dumped the slick ways and big names that graced their debut Right On/Write Off EP, Royal Chant changed tack and crept inside Megaphon studios with producer Shane Fahey to let the tapes roll until they were happy with the results or too tired to continue. With mixing now firmly underway, the boys are trying to kill some time while waiting for the final results. Since 1/4 of the quartet is banned from most of the nation’s casinos, they are hitting the road for a string of shows to keep their idle hands from doing the devil’s bidding.

Royal Chant’s debut LP, Raise Your Glass & Collapse, is set for release this November. Their Right On/Write Off EP is out now and available through MGM.
