Now armed with their latest full-length record Silence Yourself, UK all-girl post-punk outfit Savages will be heading Down Under early 2014 as part of the Laneway festivities as well as a cheeky run of their own headlining shows.
Savages were one of the first bands to announce themselves for Laneway, sorta, so it’s only fair that they get their own dates as well. Keeping things simple, the 4-piece will be hitting up Melbourne before kicking on through to Sydney. With the unlimited creative licence that comes along with headlining performances, we’re sure to get the full Savages experience.
And that’s only half of the awesome news. Joining Savages for their sideshows will be local talent Kirin J Callinan, who’s also on the Laneway lineup. Having already dominated 2013 with countless live performances and the release of his debut LP Embracism, Callinan looks set to have 2014 but the balls also, and right from the get go.
Tickets for these shows go on sale 9am next Thursday, 31st October.
