The Shins Have Debuted New Music During Their First Live Shows In Three Years

US indie rockers The Shins have given two new songs a live premiere over the weekend, playing their first live shows in three years.

Last month, frontman James Mercer revealed that their forthcoming, untitled fifth LP was done but that it would probably be released early next year.

During their first live date in three years at End Of The Road festival they debuted new songs and then followed it up by dropping new stuff again at a show at London’s Village Underground.

They played two brand newies; Dead Alive and another called Rubber Balls, with both being captured by a punter who was sitting pretty right up in the front row of the crowd. You can practically see the individual beads of sweat on Mercer’s forehead.
