The Shore Thing 2012/2013 lineup has been announced for this New Year’s Eve. Straight up we have three acts to be announced, UK dance duo The Chemical Brothers return to our shores to show off their killer production skills. Joining them will be two of the masterminds behind Pendulum, Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen who formed Knife Party. Last of all, Fedde Le Grand, the legendary Dutch DJ will drop his heady mix of DJ dexterity, remix mastery and production prowess onto the Shore Thing stage.
Since 2005, Shore Thing has been Sydney’s favourite New Year’s Eve party, taking over the most famous stretch of sand in the world, Bondi Beach, with the biggest names in music. From Fatboy Slim, David Guetta, Basement Jaxx and Armand Van Helden to Snoop Dog and Calvin Harris last year, it’s the event that ensures New Year’s Eve keeps its reputation as the ‘Party of the Year’.
But this year’s lineup ensures it will not just be remembered but rather reverberate through you for years to come with the insanity of Knife Party to raise the non-existent roof, and kings of dance music The Chemical Brothers hitting the DJ decks to ensure that as 2012 draws to a close no one is going to be standing still. Add to this musical mayhem a heap of fireworks lighting up the ocean and you will be well basking in your best New Year’s ever.
