Sia has brightened our weekend by bestowing the third track off her forthcoming album This Is Acting upon us.
One Million Bullets is a surging love ballad that builds slowly to soaring heights, ambushing you with the kind of feels that can not be adequately expressed by any emoji known to humankind.
It would be no surprise if – like the disc’s lead single Alive – this empowering track was originally penned for Adele (before Sia shouted “Take-backsies!” and kept it for herself).
After all, her new LP is completely made up of songs that she originally wrote for other artists.
But despite it being very easy to imagine this song being delivered from someone like Adele’s windpipe and sounding just as fabulous, there’s something about the paper pag popstar’s smoky, crackling soprano that’s definitively stamped it “Property Of Sia”.
Her seventh LP This Is Acting is due to hit shelves on Friday, 29th January.
