Silverstein Heading Down Under In Support Of New Album

Canadian post-hardcore mad dogs Silverstein have announced that they will be introducing their seventh and latest full-length album to Australian fans in person. The band will be touring our shores in support of the release this coming April.

Over 13 years in the game, Silverstein are a shining example to other bands of how things should be done. Keeping a regular presence in the lives of their adoring fanbase, Silverstein have not only released material on the reg, but have also toured vigorously throughout their career, totalling more than 1500 shows in around 34 countries. Why, they were only here last June in support of their then latest album Rescue.

The latest release from the group, This Is How the Wind Shifts, sees Silverstein approach the ever-present ‘what if’ question that lurks in the back of all of our minds: “The idea of this album is how a person’s life can change forever with just one event,” explains vocalist Shane Todd. What’s more, the release indicates no signs whatsoever of a band fading out of relevance, but the complete opposite.

Following them on their Australian adventure will be the very much-talked-about Issues. Hailing from Atlanta, the band will be gigging in support of their debut EP Black Diamonds.
