Slash Explores Childhood Memory Of Busting His Mum Naked With David Bowie

The concept that our parents have had/did have sex is something that freaks out all of us, so much so that I feel awful even bringing it up. Slash on the other hand, being the coolest cat out, has recently openly discussed such a situation during an interview with Triple M, though his story is way cooler than any of ours would be.

The legendary gee-tar god, currently Down Under doing the rounds for his latest album Apocalyptic Love mentions to the rock station that he once sprung his mum naked with the great David Bowie when Slash himself was only 8 years old. Slash’s mother, Ola, worked as a costume designer for the glam icon during his Thin White Duke stage, and also worked on costumes for his film The Man Who Fell to Earth.

As Slash tells it, “My mum started working with David professionally at first. I’m pretty sure that’s how it started. Then it turned into some sort of mysterious romance that went on for a while after that. She did his wardrobe for his whole Thin White Duke period and The Man Who Fell To Earth movie that he did. She did all that and he was around for a while.”

Years later, however, Slash has been able to put two and two together, as he continued to explain, “He was always over – they were always together. I caught them naked once. They had a lot of stuff going on, but my perspective was limited. Looking back on it, I know exactly what was going on. When I look back on that whole combination of people, I can only imagine how freaky it was.” According to NME.

Slash, who obviously has no shame in his mother’s game, was in town performing his latest album with Alter Bridge vocalist Myles Kennedy. It was a quick stop-off before the famous Gunners guitarist jetsets off to the UK to bring the madness to Europe.
