SOiL Frontman Hospitalised After Suffering Stroke

SOiL has been dealt a blow with frontman Ryan McCombs being hospitalised after suffering a stroke. McCombs revealed, via Facebook last night (Australian time) that he suffered the stroke earlier in the week while he slept.

Writing from his hospital bed the singer said he is in recovery and thanked his partner for convincing him to seek medical treatment. “Thanks to Izzi making me go to the hospital Monday morning we caught it before my stupid brain made to much of a mess of me,” posted McCombs.

The heavy metal vocalist assured fans he is “already doing better” although he has been cautioned his full recovery will be “a bit of a road.” Still McCombs is in good spirits stating that, “The Angry Hobbit is a stubborn prick and I believe sh*t will right itself in no time.. I mean hell, my stupid dumb right hand only made me take 15 minutes to write this…lol”.

In a follow-up post McCombs noted he had passed some tests and is now allowed food and water. “First since Sunday… This apple sauce might as well be a fillet… YUMMY f’n YUMMY!!!” Meanwhile McCombs partner Izzi Echo thanked fans for their support and well wishes on her Facebook page.

SOiL last appeared on Australian turf earlier this year as part of the Soundwave 2014 lineup. Get well soon, Ryan.
