Brooklyn-based, Norwegian-born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Sondre Lerche will be embarking on his debut Australian tour this coming November in support of his latest studio album Please.
Lerche will play two special shows this November, starting off at Sydney’s Newtown Social Club on Wednesday, 25th November before taking the stage at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club the following evening.
While perhaps new to Australian audiences, Lerche has had an incredibly vibrant career, having toured with musical heroes A-Ha and Elvis Costello, released a collaboration with Spoon‘s Jim Eno titled Public Hi-Fi Sessions, composed the score for the Steve Carell-starring movie Dan In Real Life and the Sundance hit The Sleepwalker as well as touring across Europe and the United States.
The recently-divorced Lerche has channeled his struggles into his latest studio album Please, which brims with crisp electronic flourishes, bold production, exciting rhythm arrangements and infectious energy, despite its sometimes dark subject manner.
