Organisers for Soundwave 2012 have now increased the capacity for the event at Melbourne Showgrounds on Friday 2nd February 2012. This means that 1000 extra tickets will go on sale on Thursday the 15th of December.
The event initially sold out in late October, but after a successful Stereosonic event, which hosted a 46,500 capacity at the venue over the weekend, Soundwave Melbourne will now increase its size from 37,000 to 38,000.

Tickets will go on sale Thursday the 15th of December via http://oztix.com.au.
This year’s line-up is headlined by System of a Down, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, Marylin Manson, and backed up by bands such as In Flames, A Day To Remember, Machine Head, Bad Religion, Mastodon, Trivium and Coal Chamber, who have reformed to play at the festival.
