An inquisitive fan has led to Soundwave boss AJ Maddah confirming that a small allocation of tickets for Soundwave 2013 will go on sale in January for all cities except Brisbane. The would-be festival-goer tweeted Maddah about the possibility of purchasing tickets for Soundwave’s Perth date. Maddah, known for his Twitter interaction, assured the music fan there is still a glimmer of hope for those who missed out on initial ticket sales.
Soundwave 2013 has a massive lineup including Metallica, A Perfect Circle, Tomahawk, Stone Sour and Blink 182 who recently announced they will release an new EP in time for Christmas. Another headlining act in the headlines lately is Paramore who have just put the finishing touches on their new album expected out before the band arrives in Australia for Soundwave.
Unfortunately for fans of Mark Tremonti, the Creed and Alter Bridge guitarist will no longer be playing Soundwave despite Maddah moving “heaven and earth” to accomodate to highly sought after act. In October Maddah announced he had indeed added Tremonti to the Soundwave bill. However, for reasons unknown Tremonti pulled out of the festival although he did tweet an apology.
