Famed record producer Phil Spector is still fighting against his imprisonment for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson, with his lawyers instructed to continue to appeal his conviction.
Spector’s latest setback was having an appeal rejected on May 11. Now Contact Music reports that he has told his lawyers to lodge a new request for the California Court of Appeal officials to reconsider its decision to uphold his conviction.
Spector’s attorney, Dennis Riordan, said Spector is “very focused on pursuing the appeal”.
In 2009, 71-year-old Spector was sentenced to 19 years to life for the murder of Clarkson.
