Splendour In The Grass Sideshows Announced This Monday

Despite some much-publicised chaos that occurred after tickets went on sale this morning and saw egregious charges added to ticket-hungry fans’ credit cards, Splendour In The Grass 2014 has officially sold out, and now the time is nigh for fans to get their hands on sideshows tickets.

According to a statement released by Splendour In The Grass organisers, official sideshows will be announced on the morning of Monday, 5th May, but there’s a couple who’ve already been confirmed, including Sky Ferreira, who leaked her Sydney and Melbourne shows via Instagram.

Music Feeds reported yesterday that Ferreira uploaded an image of her upcoming tour schedule to Instagram and according to Project U, posted dates for sideshows alleged to be taking place at the Prince Bandroom on 23rd July and The Metro on 25th on Facebook’s BandsInTown app.

That same day, critically acclaimed English four-piece Wild Beasts announced two Splendour sideshows for Monday, 28th July at Manning Bar, Sydney, and Tuesday, 29th July at the Prince Bandroom. Details were posted to the Chugg Entertainment site before being confirmed today.

While many fans are likely hoping that headliners Outkast are planning on performing some headline dates, this is highly unlikely. The Southern hip-hop legends have remained adamant that their reunion is a temporary affair that will remain restricted to 40 festival dates around the world.

Other Splendour 2014 acts whose fans are unlikely to receive sideshows include Interpol, Buraka Som Sistema, Two Door Cinema Club, Darkside, Chvrches, Danny Brown, and Parquet Courts, all of whom have been billed as exclusive to the Splendour In The Grass festival in Byron Bay.
