Steve Kilbey, Elana Stone, Lindsay McDougall & More Aussie Artists Announced For Leonard Cohen Tribute Show

Sydney Festival 2017 has revealed it will be playing host to a small crowd of homegrown talent, all of whom will be paying tribute to Leonard Cohen for a night dedicated to the legend’s catalogue.

Leading the touching farewell will be The Church’s Steve Kilbey. The known Cohen enthusiast describes the late musician as “A master of melancholia and understatement, always more implied than stated.” Our own favourite brooding son Jack Ladder will also be making an offering, two-piece Broads, along with Holiday Sidewinder, formerly of Sydney outfit Bridezilla.

All Our Exes Live in Texas member and absolute songbird Elana Stone has been announced alongside master of the airwaves Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall. All performers will be flanked by a choir especially pieced together for the event by Christina Mimmocchi.

You Want It Darker, Cohen’s final album will be examined by beloved interpreter Mikelangelo, who’ll be joined by Michaela Davies and AJ True performing under the banner of Spectres of Love.
