Suicidal Tendencies Fan Dies After Stage Diving In Switzerland

A 28-year-old man has tragically died from injuries he sustained after stage diving during a Suicidal Tendencies show in Switzerland on 22 January, with the man suffering an epileptic fit days after the incident.

Blabbermouth reports that the fan attempted the dive at the Persistence Tour, which also featured Terror, Strife and Evergreen Terrace, but that the crowd didn’t break his fall. “Unfortunately, crowd members failed to properly catch him and he fell to the ground,” said Pipo Kofmehl, head of the Kulturfabrik Kofmehl venue.

He added that the man seemed to be okay afterwards. “A security guard responded immediately, helped the young man and our emergency unit reacted as well.” The fan was then seen walking around and saying that he wanted to go home, but the medical team decided to send him to the the Bern University Hospital instead.

The man then experienced complications after arriving at the hospital, suffering an epileptic seizure. He passed away on 24th January. Kofmehl described the act as “very, very tragic”, saying “This is a huge concern for us.”

State Police confirmed that they’re investigating the sad series of events, with spokeswoman Thalia Schweizer saying, “It was an accident.” Suicidal Tendencies are yet to comment.
