Sydney crew Sures have announced they will be celebrating a crazy 12 months the only way worthy – by heading out on a run of national tour dates, and they’re bringing Brisbane all-girl outfit Go Violets to share the headlining responsibilities.
Sure will be welcoming their brand new EP The Night Hero Waste Time Getting Better (TNHWTGB) on Friday, 23rd August which adds a whole lotta fuel to the party fire. Fans have been treated with something of a heads up, with Sures today releasing released the video feature for first single Waste. The band brought newcomer William Colvin on board to direct the piece, perfectly representing the chaotic energy within the band. The clip ties in well with the ebb and flow of the track, all the while inflicting fond memories of music videos from the ’90s. Ahh, nostalgia.
The EP was produced by Dann Hume who has masterfully crafted releases for Alpine, Snakadaktal, Matt Corby, Courtney Barnett and Lisa Mitchell in recent times. From what we can tell listening to Waste, the band have compiled their most mature work to date.
Perfecting their live display on the road with the likes of Best Coast, WAVVES, Bleeding Knees Club, Vampire Weekend and more, Sures are sure to put on a hell of a show when they hit the road this September.
