Sydney outfit Middle Kids have made their US television debut on a little-known programme named Conan, and they straight-up nailed it.
The band performed for Conan O’Brien and his audience on last night’s show, knocking out their single ‘Edge Of Town’ in such style that O’Brien called them “fantastic” and “brilliant”.
Sharing the performance with fans on Facebook today, Middle Kids said, “Hey look it’s us. On…TV…In…America. Thanks Conan O’Brien for supporting our band, showing off our record, shaking our hands, being a hero. WE HAD FUN.”
Middle Kids scored their spot on Conan after O’Brien’s booker Jim Pitt was impressed by the band’s performance at last year’s BIGSOUND conference in Brisbane.
The band are currently preparing to release their debut self-titled EP, which arrives tomorrow, 17th February. The group also recently revealed to triple j that they’re already recording demos for a debut album.
Middle Kids will return to Australia in April for shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. Watch their stunning Conan performance, below.
