Taking Back Sunday Begin Work On New Album

Written by Mike Hohnen on February 7, 2013

Everybody’s favourite Taking Back Sunday are at it again. With all the fuss surrounding the 10th-year anniversary of their seminal Tell All Your Friends album now subsiding, the group have turned their attention to the future, ego, a new album.

Before you get too excited – the album will be a little ways off yet (well, depending on how hungry the band are to get it out) as at this point in time, they haven’t started writing, but are on their way to ‘a secret mountain house’ where they will begin writing, as per their latest Twitter/Instagram update.

2011’s self-titled release was the last original material from the band and I think I speak on behalf of many fans when I say we were left a little bit wanting. Given the current nostalgic hype around TAYF, there’s a good chance they will be harking back to the days of 2002 when drawing upon inspiration for what will be album #6.

You can tell from the picture that came with the tweet that there will be very few outside distractions so here’s hoping for a speedy writing, recording, mixing, mastering and distribution plan.
