Tenacious D Are Back, And They’re Teasing Some “Big News”

UPDATE: Tenacious D Announce New Album ‘Post-Apocalypto’, Featuring Dave Grohl

ORIGINAL STORY: Comedic rockers Tenacious D (Jack Black and Kyle Gass) are back in the headlines, and they’re teasing some “big news” that’s scheduled to hit our ear holes tomorrow.

The duo have shared a string of animated images, videos and song snippets on their new Instagram account, and they appear to potentially be from an upcoming music video.

One video also shows Gass in the studio listening to a string section, while another features the pair singing the words, “We’re gonna have lots of sex in space,” because why not?

Meanwhile, on the band’s Instagram story, Jack Black told fans, “Hey Instagram, the D is finally back. We’ve got big news tomorrow, so stay tuned.”

On his own Instagram story, Jack Black said, “Our new rock opera ‘Post-Apocalypto’ is going to drop soon.”

Earlier this year, Tenacious D said the follow-up to their 2012 album Rize Of The Fenix would “probably” be released in 2018.

We haven’t heard much from the band since, but that’s clearly all about to change.
