The Annandale Presents: ‘Screw Theatre’ – Theatre in the Pub…AGAIN!

After the successful opening night of ‘Screw Theatre’, a Theatre Company dedicated to supporting the Theatre in the Pub idea, at The Annandale Hotel in February, the Rule Brothers are ready to open it’s door to another night of mayhem on APRIL 29th WEDNESDAY.

When we asked creator Brad Jelfs, What is Screw Theatre?, his answer was this: ‘Screw theatre is sticking your unprotected hand blindly into a needle disposal bin, just because you can. Because you are assured of short, sharp punctures, the uncertainty of infection or, at the very least, some sort of transient respite from your ordinary life. Screw theatre is the piercing, twisted lucky dip for a debilitating existence’.

The next show ‘The Pig Scenes’ has been described as, ‘Six scenes with musical interludes: A family exhumes a menacing past which leads them to their darkest breakdown. Set in the stifling heat of drought, where the threat of bushfire hangs in the air, the feral pigs roaming the bush outside provide a twisted soundtrack to this claustrophobic and unconventional performance, where a father is brutally confronted by his son’s unhinged idea of hell’.

Curious? A little intrigued? Theatre lover? Get down to The Annandale Hotel, April 29th Wednesday
