Black Ryder Announced As Support For The Cult ‘Love Live’ Tour

Written by John Ritchie on March 19, 2010

Posting on their Facebook page today, The Black Ryder have announced that they will be supporting The Cult on their upcoming Australian tour.

Formed in 2007 by Aimee Nash and Scott Von Ryper after their exit from Australian band The Morning After Girls, The Black Ryder have quite a history of supporting big international acts, having shared stages with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Raveonettes and The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

Things have been going pretty well for the duo recently too, with Aimee joining the BJM at both of their Sydney concerts to sing crowd favourite ‘Anenome’, and a Rolling Stone nomination for ‘Best New Band of The Year’.

They’re not known for playing regular shows around the country so if you’re going to the shows it may be a good idea to get there early and check these guys out. Their unique style of psychedelic shoegaze should be the perfect accompaniment to the brooding post-punk of The Cult. Tour dates below.
