The John Steel Singers Are Going On Hiatus

Following an impressive innings, local peddlers of good times The John Steel Singers will be hanging up their leads and entering hiatus after their upcoming national tour.

The John Steel Singers announced their hiatus in a touching message to fans which explains “we still love each other very much and will still make lots of music together”, but reveals that life has simply gotten in the way of things.

“There is a brand new child in the band, a brand new bar, a brand new business and the ongoing challenge of balancing life with touring has led to the decision of halting the touring life for now,” the group say, before thanking their team and their supporters for the ride. The John Steel Singers latest run of headline dates will see the band perform tracks from their new album Midnight At The Plutonium at venues in Toowoomba, Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Catch the band’s upcoming tour dates, below.

It’s been a productive 10-year career for The John Steel Singers, who released a respectable three full-length albums during that time. The group were regulars on the highways of not just Australia but the world, managing to tour throughout both Europe and the US.
