The Killers Cover The Strokes’ ‘Is This It’ Live

The Killers are on the road in support of their latest release Battle Born and at their show in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Saturday night, they payed tribute to one of New York City’s biggest exports, The Strokes, with a little rendition of Is This It.

The Las Vegas quartet have a cute habit of paying homage to bands from the cities they perform in. So far on their UK leg of the tour, they’ve given a nod to Oasis, U2 and New Order with Don’t Look Back in Anger, With Or Without You and Crystal respectively. The Brandon Flowers-led outfit even talked about releasing a whole covers album back in 2009, with drummer Ronnie Vannucci telling SPIN he wanted to cover acts like Genesis, Tom Waits, Cyndi Lauper, and Iggy Pop.

The Strokes, on the other hand, released their fifth studio album Comedown Machine this year but have zero plans to tour in support of it. Small renditions of their back catalogue by other bands may be all we’re gonna get in the way of live Strokes material for some time.
