The Latest From Royal Chant

Royal Chant, the pop-fuzz garage band from Port Macquarie, has been reprehended following a successful year of making music the old fashioned way. In addition to the crime of playing songs teeming with their own passion and poetry, authorities have also laid charges against the quartet for making countless appearances in venues all across the motherland, including tearing up the stages at the Blueprint Festival, Festival of the Sun, and Peats’ Ridge.

After being taken into custody, they have been sentenced to three weeks of house arrest in Albert Studios, where, under the watchful eye of constable Wayne Connolly, they are expected to try and turn their lives around while cutting tracks to follow up their recently released Right On/Write Off EP.

Following their successful rehabilitation, they will immediately hit the road, which includes a free show at the Beach Road Hotel in Bondi with the Philly J’s, as well as a slot on the FILTH Stage at the Playground Weekender Festival.

Recent footage of the band has been released, in the form of their latest film clip, for their brooding anti-anthem “Coughing Fits”, directed by Matt Clements.
