The National have announced that they will be embarking on a nation-wide tour in 2014, starting in Adelaide and finishing up in Perth. Taking place over February, the Brooklyn-based band will be touring their sixth studio album, Trouble Will Find Me.
The band was here just last month for a special one-off headlining performance at Splendour In The Grass, but will return for a full-fledged tour in the summer of 2014. These performances will be their first headlining spots since their sold-out 2010 tour and will have the band playing venues including Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, The Thebarton in Adelaide, Brisbane’s Riverstage, and the Sydney Opera House Forecourt.
Their universally acclaimed sixth album, released back in May, contains the lush textures, unique time-schemes, self-deprecating, isolated lyrics and ethereal sonics that The National are known for. Having sold out shows the world over to rave reviews, their Australian tour is sure to be something very special for old fans and new-comers alike.
Don’t miss what is sure to be one of the hottest tours of the summer – presale tickets kick off this Thursday, with general release going on sale next Tuesday, 3rd September.
