The Owls To Tour New Single ‘Better Off Deaf’

Written by Mike Hohnen on July 4, 2012

Newcastles’ The Owls have done a tremendous job of separating themselves from the pack that is the latest wave of indie acts to spring up of late.

Having very recently released their single Better Off Deaf, it didn’t take long for The Owls to take flight (I had to go there). The track saw the lads take the triple j Unearthed crown and their talent landed them scores of main support slots for some of the biggest names around, including The Living End, Gyroscope, Cloud Control, The Jezabels, Ball Park Music, The Basics, and Phrase.

As engaging as their recordings are, their live performance is an entirely different animal: enchanting as it is unique and dynamic. It is an experience Melbourne and Sydney will soon be able to witness following the announcement that the band will be taking the single on the highways of the East Coast.

Better Off Deaf
is on the radio now, so be sure to check it out!
