The Presets Release Apocolypso [DELUXE TOUR EDITION]

Written by Toby Smith on June 2, 2009

The Presets’ Apocalypso has been lauded world-wide for its relentlessly innovative, irrepressibly dashing approach to modern, electronic pop music. Winner of just about every award you care to mention, Apocalypso is the Trojan horse that keeps on keeping on, and in honour of The Presets’ final tour of 2009, Modular will now release a Deluxe Tour Edition of their 2nd record.

The deluxe tour edition of Apocalypso comes wrapped in a lush 20-page colour story book. As well as the standard issue Apocalypso album it’s joined by a second disc, which collects 10 of the finest most sought after remixes of the Apocalypso lifespan by the likes of Tom Middleton, Kevin Saunderson, Bang Gang and DJ Hell, amongst others.

In the sales department, Apocalypso has gone 3 x platinum, whilst My People is 2 x platinum and Talk Like That is a measly 1 x platinum. In a year that’s seen an incredible surge in the band’s popularity, The Presets’ debut album, Beams, has just now achieved Gold status.

The rocket ride that Apocalypso has been has led The Presets on several sold out tours of Australia, and multiple stints in Europe and the US. In May and June this year the curtain will come down on the Apocalypso tours, when The Presets mount their most far-reaching Australian tour so far, and their final tour for 2009.

The Presets are Wrapping up their last Australian Tour for 2009. Limited Tickets are still on sale for the shows below.
